BIOGRAPHY
 
A graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hema Kaul splits her time between designing and running part of a multi-million dollar family business. A scion of a well-reputed Dubai-based business family, Hema is a global advisor for GT&T Group of Companies.

From five-star hotels, construction and manpower, entertainment, FMCG and lan and water development, the family has diverse business interests in India, UAE, and around the world. As the eldest daughter of three, Hema took it upon herself to embrace the family business, but her heart has always been in the pursuit of her true passion: fashion designing.

Hema describes her personal style as chic, elegant and classic. As a world traveler, Hema has scoured around the globe sourcing fabrics to mix and match and create her design masterpieces with inspiration from her favorite designers Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and Coco Chanel. Until recently, her couture pieces were sold privately with her first complete collection soon to be shown internationally as the official launch of the brand Hema Kaul.

BRAND CONCEPT
 
Hema is inspired by all things vintage. She loves recreating the magic of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Every design focuses on how she can flatter a real woman’s body and thoughtfully design clothing that every body type can wear. A feminine silhouette where shapes and cuts are accentuated by exquisite fabrics is the essence of her Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which will be showcased on the runways of London Fashion Week.
