BIOGRAPHY
 
Lebanese by origin, Dina Jsr was raised in Saudi Arabia, where she attended both French and American schools. She moved to London at the young age of seventeen, where she found herself fascinated by the strength and precision of the city’s architecture, the omnipresence of greenery, as well as the fine detail found in furniture design.
 
With a BA in Jewelry Design from Central Saint Martins, and a diploma in diamonds and semi-precious gems from the Gemology Institute of America (GIA), Jsr pursued her passion for elegance and fashion when she moved back to her home country, where she was influenced by the natural glamor of Lebanese soirées. Under the mentorship of Rabih Kayrouz, Jsr learned full circle from the best.

BRAND CONCEPT
 
Cocktail and evening dresses celebrating grace and style, DINA JSR’s collections tend to be inspired by fine lines and geometric architecture- a full volume pleat, a prominent yet graphically cut top, a pathway opening over a bare back, architectural folds, small fins that underline the bust or mark off shoulders.

Sharp edged and seemingly masculine, JSR’s designs are delicate, surprisingly feminine and unmistakably elegant. An unquestionable balance appears in JSR’s designs, revealing tight lines, rhythmic architectural yokes, undulating folds and fleeting spirals, where architecture and femininity are interlinked almost innately.

DINA JSR’s designs are influenced by architecture and her first collection was inspired by the historic sites in her home country Lebanon. Her following collections were inspired by architects such as Mario Botta-(Italian), Santiago Calatrava (Spanish) and Zaha Hadid (Iraqi -British). DINA JSR’s Spring Summer Collection 14 promises to be as stunning.
