Genevieve Carmichael-Thoris, International Group Manager – Color Collections and La Maison L’Oreal Professionnel, is responsible for the development of L’Oréal Professionnel Color Collections, the brand’s largest and most eagerly anticipated seasonal animation.

Originally trained as a hairdresser, Carmichael-Thoris has over ten years professional experience in salons in both USA and France. Simultaneously, she earned her Master’s degree in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University.

She has been working at L’Oreal since 2009, where she started her career in international marketing development at Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. Since taking over the L’Oréal Professionnel Color Collections in 2012, Carmichael-Thoris has launched an international magazine partnership with L’Officiel, and has gone on to work with renowned backstage and editorial hairdressers including Odile Gilbert & James Pecis.

Genevieve Carmichael-Thoris is considered a veritable hair trend expert, frequently presenting the latest trends to hairdressers, journalists, and industry insiders across the globe.
