Italian-born Barbara Trebitsch, director of the DA Master course in Fashion Design, has been a visiting professor for various courses at government institutions, prestigious universities, and associations in various countries, like Italy, France, Japan, Finland, Colombia, Argentina and USA.

Trebitsch regularly takes part in juries for international contests (Istituto Marangoni, Kobe Fashion Contest, European Fashion Awards – Bruxelles, Istanbul race track Competition). She has collaborated for research projects with DARC (Domus Academy Research Center) and Future Concept Lab, and has written articles for various publications (Access to Accessory – HEAA Geneve, New Fashion Illustration – Martin Dawber – BT Batsford, The Nordic Textile Journal).

Trebitsch has been the director of the DA Master course in Fashion Design, since 2001, managing projects with fashion designers (Neil Barrett, Antonio Berardi, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Victor Bellaish, Ennio Capasa, Frankie Morello…) Companies and Institutions (Ballin, Coccinelle, Eastpack, Lineapiù, Lineapelle, Lanificio Bonotto, Hogan, Fay, Napapijri, Nike, Nokia, la Matta, 7 For All Mankind, Swarovski, Ermenegildo Zegna, Meltin’Pot, Pomellato, Versace, Victor Victoria, Ter et Bantine, Tod’s). She is also very active in the research and design field with special reference to trends analysis.

With a Masters degree in Accessory Design, Trebitsch has been the director of the DA Fashion Design Department since 2006, after which she began producing her jersey womenswear line, Trebitsch. Since 2013 she has been appointed Head of Fashion School of Domus Academy. She is a member of the Board of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, the association of fashion schools based in Milan and of the Colloquium Series organized by DA, London College of Fashion, IFM and Parsons NY.
