Panel Discussion: Modernisation Of Arab Fashion, HIA
Talk:

With a heavy focus on fabric, colour and embroidery the label encompasses all aspects of fashion, from timeless clothes and statement bags to head turning belts and quirky accessories. Each piece is hand crafted by local artisans using vintage fabrics and is completely one-of-a- kind, offering a sense of exclusivity.

Every season Ayah carefully hand selects a new region renowned for it’s embroidery and explores it’s traditional patterns and colours before beginning her design process. Ayah is passionate about exploring different cultures from around the world and aims to introduce different trends to our community here in the UAE, which is her main motivation behind Mochi. Her recent travels landed her in the heart of Thailand, where she explored different towns and villages to source her chosen cross-knitted fabrics.

Ayah, 27, is originally Palestinian, Dubai has been her home for many years now. She studied business in London and decided to take a step into the fashion world last April where she launched her first collection. Since then Ayah has produced 3 collections all based and inspired through different countries around the world. Mochi has reached international success and continues to bring a unique and fun concept into both the Arab and international fashion scene.
