TIMI HAYEK
BIOGRAPHY
Timi Hayek studied Fashion Print at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. She completed a Diploma in Professional studies, where she worked for Marc Jacobs in Louis Vuitton and Jean-charles de Castelbajac in Paris. Other placements include Alexander McQueen and Mary Katrantzou in London. In 2010 she won the Liberty Art Fabrics Award, where her winning print design was sold at the renowned British department store, Liberty & Co. She is currently launching her eponymous fashion label ‘Timi Hayek’ under the support of the STARCH Foundation, while working as a freelance illustrator in Beirut.

BIOGRAPHY
Jo Baaklini is a multi-disciplinary designer based in Beirut, Lebanon. Identifying primarily as an illustrator, he spent 4 years in London studying Graphic Design, Film and Animation at the prestigious Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Art & Design, where he was exposed to eclectic mix of specialisms, including fashion, textiles and product design through his peers.
Jo has been working as a freelance creative since graduating in 2012, venturing first into textiles and jewellery, and now into fashion design. After presenting a range of textiles in Beirut Design Week ‘s New Designers 2013 show, he was selected by Starch Foundation to launch his own label Atelier Jo Baaklini. His inaugural collection of bold prints, strong colours and clean shapes extends beyond clothes to jewellery and accessories.

RAYYA MORCOS
BIOGRAPHY
Beirut-based fashion designer Rayya Morcos started her fashion apprenticeship at Maison Rabih Kairouz. Her interest in shapes and forms began at an early age as her mother, who was an avid art collector and fashion fan, instilled her taste for art and creativity into her.
Rayya had initially majored in interior design but her relentless passion drove her to explore new territories. After obtaining a degree in Fashion Design from Esmod Beirut, she joined Maison Rabih Kairouz where she was head of design from 2006 to 2011.
In 2009, she founded her own label: Bird on a Wire. Her debut collection of square shirts dubbed “80x80x80″ was sold at the Starch boutique in Saifi Village- Beirut. It was followed by a collective exhibition at the Beirut Art Center in 2011, entitled “Starch Your Summer”.
After the success of her endeavors, Rayya decided to fully dedicate herself to Bird on a Wire.
