Talk:Talk: Middle Eastern influences in Western Fashion: An overview. | Workshop: How the Eye Travels: Translating Arts and Crafts into Contemporary Fashion
Oleg Mitrofanov is London based fashion consultant and creative director of The Lujon Magazine. After completing MA in international law in Moscow State Academy of Law he moved to London to pursue his ambition in fashion. In London he completed a four year fashion course at Central St. Martins – Fashion Communication and Promotion. Whilst at college he contributed to a variety of publications including Dazed Digital, Fantastic Man and Acne Paper, where he had remained an editor for over four years.
After graduation from CSM in 2011 Oleg Mitrofanov became a consultant for Gainsbury and Whiting a production company, a company responsible for producing Alexander McQueen’s ‘Savage Beauty’ exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY. Other clients included Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Selfridges, Calvin Klein, Show Studio and H&M.
In 2013 Oleg Mitrofanov started his own consultancy firm – Atelier Research specialising on visual research for creative industries. Since then, he worked with luxury fashion and jewellery brands, art directors, photographers and film makers.
Oleg Mitrofanov is associate lecturer at London College of Fashion, where he teaches visual communication to BA fashion students. In the past he conducted a series of Master Classes at Kingston University and Nesterova University in Moscow.
