Talk:Window & In Store Display - Best Practices on Fashion Visual Communication
Gianfranco Olivotto, after having got his bachelor degree in Modern languages and literatures, moves to London where he starts working as visual merchandiser for the Benetton Group. Back to Milan he gets in touch with the Milan based Fashion designers (Dolce & Gabbana, Alessandro dell’Acqua, Neil Barrett) with Neil Barrett he develops in 2000 the launch of his first collection and then becomes head of his Communication and Press Department. In 2005 he creates with his partner a company for visual merchandising and brand consultancy for different fashion brands such as La Perla, Ralph Lauren, Borsalino, John Varvatos, Mantero seta, Juicy Couture, developing the concept and set up for window and in-store displays, the production of press material, look books, media planning and ad campaigns. Since 2012 he is course leader of the Master in Fashion Styling & Visual Merchandising at Domus Academy working with brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Moncler, 10 Corso Como. His teaching activity focuses on Visual Fashion Brand Communication.
