Emily Cremona

Fashion creator Diana Wassef re-launches Emily Cremona with her highly anticipated collection titled “Kao-Kabi” at the 2017 Fashion Forward Dubai. The collection, Wassef’s first for Emily Cremona in six years, reveals the designer’s evolved approach to fashion; her poetic garments invoke the mysterious and surreal while also meeting the delicate needs of today’s modern wearer. With “Kao-Kabi” Wassef creates a sensory experience through garments that are kind to the skin and to our environment.

Since showcasing her collection in 2011 at Starch Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Rabih Kayrouz and Tala Hajjar that helps launch Lebanese emerging designers, Wassef has been investigating and exploring the future of material and sustainable design through natural dyeing techniques, natural fibers and fabric marbling. For “Kao-Kabi,” the designer worked exclusively with natural fibers, including bamboo, hemp, linen & pineapple - making a statement on the importance of sustainability in the current fashion landscape.

Nour Najem

Nour Najem, born and raised in Beirut, graduated in fashion design from ESMOD Beirut in 2012. Throughout her career, she has interned at several Lebanese designers, such as Elie Saab, Rabih Kayrouz and Caroline Seikaly.

Nour adresses the modern and independent woman through fluid lines, luscious fabrics, and intricate details. She combines strict geometry and architecture all the while being anchored in her oriental heritage. She is inspired by a wide range of traditional artistry; artisanal crafts and the know-how that she applies to her designs.
