Mary Chiam is a leading luxury fashion executive within the ecommerce industry. As Senior Vice President of Merchandising & Planning of Moda Operandi, she oversees the overall product and commercial strategy of the business.
Upon joining Moda Operandi, she continued to build the merchandising strategy upon the foundations of the business. She oversaw the expansion of business categories such as Fine Jewelry, Bridal and Haute Couture. She brought in new partnerships such as Dolce Gabbana, Burberry, Roberto Cavalli, Naeem Khan and Elie Saab, creating exclusive capsules especially for the elite Moda customers. Each season, Mary identifies fashion trends and is an avid supporter of new designers, launching their full collections in order for customers to preorder straight off the runway, thus establishing Moda Operandi as the trusted voice of showcasing new design talent.
Prior to Moda Operandi, Mary spent six years at Net-a-Porter. She first joined the accessories team, planning the merchandising strategy, growing the division to over 50% of the business. In 2009, she was appointed as Head of Merchandising for the launch of THE OUTNET. There she built the global merchandising team spanning London, New York and Shanghai.
