Alia Fawad


With over twenty five years of experience in the Media and Content Creation industry, Alia Fawad has been with ITP Media Group, the largest publishing house in the Middle East, since 2004. In her role as a publisher she has worked on brands like Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Grazia Middle East and launched Cosmopolitan Middle East, Conde Nast Traveller Middle East, among other print and digital brands.

Transitioning from publishing to Influencer Marketing, in January 2017 Alia Fawad launched the new division called ITP Live for ITP Media Group. Filling in the gap of a structural and strategic approach to content distribution on social media platforms in the region.

Amjad Ahmad


Amjad Ahmad is the Founder & Managing Partner of Precinct Partners, a venture and growth capital firm committed to partnering with bold entrepreneurs to build remarkable companies. He is a veteran venture capital and private equity investor with an extensive track record of leading successful investments in emerging markets

Prior to Precinct Partners, Amjad was Co-Founder & CEO of NBK Capital Partners where he developed the firm into a leading private equity fund
manager in the MENA region.

His prior experience includes technology and telecom investment banking and management consulting with UBS, Credit Suisse and PWC in the United States.

Cesar Moukarzel


Cesar Moukarzel, Senior Director – Commercialization, Meraas. With over 20 years in the middle east  retail industry, in the fields of Fashion retail,  Distribution and  F&B retail, Cesar has an extensive experience in managing and developing franchise concepts, he has worked with worldwide brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Mango including F&B worldwide franchises such as Paul. Prior to Joining Meraas as Senior Director in the retail malls division, he  held  executive positions as a Country Manager for the Azadea Group both in Bahrain and UAE, as well as  various positions with  Chalhoub Group.

Cesar holds a Master degree in Business Administration followed buy  Executive Leadership programs from Columbia Business School (US) and  Ashridge Business School (UK).

Enrique Hormigo


A former Head of Marketing for a French luxury brand, after 15 years in corporate life, Enrique Hormigo is now following his passion of supporting nomadism. He has had several managerial roles that involved travel, based from Barcelona, Paris and Dubai; he was a professional nomad, now he chooses nomadism as a lifestyle.

Enrique comes from a family of nomads. His grandfather served at the Spanish army and traveled all over the world. His father was born in Morocco and lives a nomad life.

Enrique Hormigo travels for the pleasure of discovering new cultures and places, or returning to favorite haunts such as Morocco and Rajasthan, leading him to launch MONTROI, a concept to fulfill every global traveler’s needs.

Godfrey Deeny


Godfrey Deeny is the Global Editor-in-Chief of, the Reuters of fashion based in Paris and France’s leading fashion website. Godfrey has reviewed the menswear, women’s wear and haute couture runway seasons of London, Milan, Paris and New York for over two decades. During his distinguished career, he has held the following senior positons: Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Hommes International, Paris Bureau Chief of Women’s Wear Daily, Editor-in-Chief of Fashion Wire Daily, Men’s Fashion Critic of The Financial Times, and Fashion Editor at Large of French daily Le Figaro. Godfrey has interviewed pretty well every designer of note, and can address all major luxury executives on a first-name basis. Godfrey has also covered the major international fashion seasons of such far flung cities as Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Beijing, Moscow, Barcelona and Sydney. Born in Ulster and fluent in French and Italian, Godfrey is a frequent commentator on fashion television programs and a fashion authority on E Entertainment’s panel of style and luxury experts. Godfrey is a jury member of the following prestigious awards: the LVMH Prize in Paris; the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), the Oscars of fashion; Who is On Next, Italy’s top award for young talent founded by Vogue Italia; The Fashion Awards of the British Fashion Council; and The International Woolmark Prize.

He is also the Editor-in-Chief and joint owner of Sepp, the original football fashion magazine. Kunal Kapoor


Founder of the Luxury Closet, Kunal Kapoor is a serial entrepreneur with a background in luxury and fashion. He built a successful sportswear brand in India and then received an MBA from INSEAD, France. Kunal subsequently landed in the lap of luxury itself Dubai, working for the French fashion empire Louis Vuitton.

In 2011, Kunal founded The Luxury Closet, the largest marketplace for luxury items in the Middle East. Most items are pre-owned and sold at a discounted price, maintaining brand and item integrity, and the assurance of authenticity. This successful and unique venture sees luxury products from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Rolex, Cartier, Louboutin and 100 other top brands sold for up to 70% off the original price. Kunal strongly believes that the ability to buy luxury items should be available to everybody. His love of entrepreneurship and fashion has been the heart behind The Luxury Closet.

The Luxury Closet has raised over $3 million from top tier venture capital funds that include Middle East Venture partners, Dubai Silicon Oasis Capital, Two Four 54 and Mena Venture Investments.

Lana El Sahely


Lana El Sahely was born and raised in Cameroon, Africa, and grew up inspired by her mother′s passion for fashion. She′s full of passion for life with a style as playful as her moods. Maha Abdul Rasheed


The owner of Bambah Boutique is a thirty one year old young lady who has a passion for vintage. Maha Abdul Rasheed is a marketer by profession  (BSc in Business Administration, Marketing and Management major at the American University of Sharjah) and has grown up with a very high entrepreneurial spirit. She’s been living in Dubai for almost 20 years now and has had the chance to visit numerous countries around the world, landing on almost all continents. She started her career in a leading advertising agency where she got a better understanding of building and managing brands followed by a position in Marketing & Corporate Communications in a semi-government entity. Souad Hosny and Jean Patchett are her ultimate style icons and she has a soft spot for ruffles, bows, and polka dots. 

Mary Katrantzou


Born in Athens, Mary Katrantzou studied Architecture at Rhode Island School of Design (USA) and graduated with a BA in Textile design and an MA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins (London).

Her graduation show in 2008, which featured trompe l’oeil prints of oversized jewellery on jersey-bonded dresses, took the industry by storm, immediately securing a number of prestigious stockists, notably Browns, Joyce, Colette. After her graduation show, Mary Katrantzou established her namesake brand. She now boasts over 100 high-end stockists ranging from Selfridges to Joyce,, Harrods and Saks.

Mary Katrantzou was dubbed "The Queen of Print" by press, a moniker that recognized the enormous influence of her work in the medium. Katrantzou's work changed the face of twentyfirst century fashion, inspiring high fashion and high street designers alike.

Ghizlan Guenez


CEO and founder of The Modist, Algerian born Ghizlan Guenez has lived most of her life in Dubai and the Middle East. With over 10 years experience in private equity at The Abraaj Group, Ghizlan cultivated an expertise in emerging markets. She was responsible for brand development sustainability programme creation and execution (over $100m deployed) and partnership-building in more than 30 countries. Her work in entrepreneurship, art and sustainability has led to the longstanding partnerships with The World Economic Forum, Art Dubai and the Venice Biennale to name a few. Ghizlan holds a BSc. from the London School of Economics.

Simon Lock

Simon is the founder of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia and has been Creative Director of Singapore Fashion Week. He is a former Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion & Models, an inaugural member of BoF’s Global 500, a recipient of the Australian Fashion Laureate in 2011 and best-selling author of ‘In The Front Row’. He is also in demand as a keynote speaker at fashion and technology conferences globally.

Sujata Assomull


One of India’s most informed and influential commentators on Indian fashion Sujata Assomull was the launch editor of Harper’s Bazaar India. Having worked at ELLE India, Indian Express and Verve, she also has been the communications  director of Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Jimmy Choo in India. Having worked on both sides of the fashion divide, she moved to Dubai  two years ago as the consulting Fashion Editor of the region’s first English daily, Khaleej Times.  She is also a contributing editor to Vogue India.

Zeynab El-Helw


Zeynab El-Helw, born in April 26th. She grew up in London, was trained in piano and flute, graduated from Central St. Martins, with an honours degree from the faculty of fashion focusing on costume / theatre design, then went on to earn a master’s degree in marketing and a second master’s in international business management. She moved to Dubai in 2009, where she still currently lives, and worked for Dior, managing its marketing for the Middle East, Africa and Turkey region. 5 years later In 2014 she started Fashion Pirate, an online blog and boutique “to develop something on my own' where she commenced with sharing blog articles on her fashion style and travel then developed further to also curate jewellery/ accessories and further broadened into clothing,” curating items with a style she calls “street glam for the unisex" all under the umbrella of the Fashion Pirate shop. Today Zeynab is a well know Fashion/Lifestyle/ Travel blogger in the Middle East and Europe, successful entrepreneur and a newly wed.

Zeynab was interviewed by CNN for a special segment showcasing 'Inside the Middle East', MBC, in 2017. In 2014 Fashion Pirate was interviewed by New York Times. Also was featured in magazines such as: Grazia Middle East, Hello! Middle East, Ahlan!, MyStyle, Arabian Business, Harpers Bazaar Bride, Hello Bridal, Arabian watches and jewellery, Health Guru.
